"Everything" is a pop/rock song written by Alanis Morissette and released as the first single from her sixth studio album, ''So-Called Chaos''. The song was featured in the 2006 film ''Clerks II'', and is included on the soundtrack. The song was also used as one of the sample music that was included inside Windows XP Media Center Edition in 2005. ==Release and reception== A heavily edited version of the song was released to radio stations for airplay on February 23, 2004.〔(Ask Billboard – "You Oughta Know" ) Billboard.com. Published: January 21, 2004〕 The radio version removed over 60 seconds of the track by taking the first two lines from the first section of a verse and placing it together with the last two lines from the second section of the verse, effectively removing a whole verse from the album version.
